青春戀愛電影【愛情無線譜】中除了有怪民謠才子Devendra Banhart客串，
更出現了一組不知名的樂隊，由哈佛畢業生Justin Rice、Christian Rudder率領，
浩浩蕩蕩全團五個人開唱；音樂是流暢爽朗的Folk-Pop，但習性同樣古靈精怪，因為拖回了一架廢棄鋼琴，
決定在2006年以每個月份為名（如January、February…）發行十二張EP，完全限量手工製作，
也只在樂團官網販售，這58首歌轟動了部落格圈，更於隔年隨即發行這張《The Broken String》。
《The Broken String》不是那種哭調仔、整組壞光光的悲慘民謠專輯，這12首歌中不乏輕快活潑的歌曲
要你興奮的跳起來！Justin Rice詩人般的眼睛，讓每首歌都是一則故事：SONY數位相機廣告曲
〈Click, Click, Click, Click〉可愛的要把攝影狂的心都偷走；輯中唯一溫柔女聲甜美民謠
〈Butterfly Nets〉，則拾起薩克斯風、四弦琴、小喇叭，叮叮咚咚讓人想起早期的Azure Ray…。
Bishop Allen廣邀樂手呈現了豐富的樂器演奏，雙簧管、斑鳩琴、風琴、豎笛、長笛、木琴輪番上陣，
莫怪乎【鴻孕當頭】男主角Michael Cera也要愛上他們！
